OUR MISSION: REBUILD THE CHURCH BY
Bringing more people to Mass by helping them get more from Mass

7 out of 10
Catholics believe that the Eucharist is just a symbol.

37%
of weekly Mass attendees don't believe in Transubstantiation.

71%
of Catholics who became Protestant say they left due to lack of spiritual fulfillment.

72%
of Catholics do not go to Mass weekly.1
Clearly, there's a problem with how we've been talking about Mass.

A lot of ministries try to combat this problem by equipping those on the edges — teaching the active faithful to share the faith or reaching the "lost sheep" through evangelization outreach.
CLARITAS seeks to reach those in the middle — the people who are in the pews every week but have no idea why they're there.
We call these the "frustrated Catholics." They're going through the motions, being dragged there by relatives, or going because it's what they're "supposed" to do.
They're completely spiritually unfulfilled...and they're on the edge of leaving altogether.
But they're still there. And at CLARITAS Ministries, we believe that if we can activate the frustrated Catholics by teaching them what's actually going on, they'll stay — and be integral to revitalizing the Church.

WHAT WE DO:
Turn bored, frustrated Catholics into active parishioners and evangelists
By sharing a simple framework that helps anyone instantly get more out of Mass, every Mass

Our Values
We believe that
âś” You shouldn't need a theology degree to understand the Mass.Â
✔ We don't need to change the preaching, the music, or the comfiness of the pews to increase attendance. We need to focus on clarity.
✔ The Mass isn't just about worshipping God — He designed it for us to "get something" out of too.
✔ God's call to St. Francis to rebuild His church extends to us too — and the best way we know how to do that is to activate those already in the pews.

Why do we focus on frustrated Catholics? Because just a few years ago, I was one.
Now, I help other frustrated Catholics understand what's actually going on at Mass so they can receive the spiritual fulfillment Jesus has for them through the liturgy.

From Frustrated Catholic to Secular Franciscan
As a cradle Catholic, I went to Mass every Sunday because that's just what you are supposed to do. I went through the motions, and felt good about myself for having gone, but had zero relationship with Jesus as a result.
Until one day, I looked around the church and got mad — everyone else seemed to be getting it; what was I missing?!
So I started researching the Mass and stumbled across what I was actually supposed to be getting from all of it.
That one piece of knowledge — that the Mass is a personal encounter with the ministry of Jesus Christ made present in our lives today — changed everything for me, and not just with the Mass. I went from frustrated Catholic to secular Franciscan, and now I run a ministry helping others experience this truth in their own lives. God is good!
